There are safe practices for officers to take out a vehicle in this way. They verify it is the right vehicle by flashing the lights before they do anything and it is only if the person is not stopping that they go and cut the accelerator. It is only used during chases, not so they can just go randomly about stopping cars that aren't a danger to the public.
This is a far safer option then anything else right now because to do the pit maneuver, throw down a spike strip or even waiting for the guy to run out of gas puts more lives in danger.
If you don't want your car to have this system, don't buy a car from GM with OnStar in it and you will be fine.
Im gu8es wondering where this is going to get them, Its not like most of the world hasn't heard about the infamous spam about giving you millions if you let them use your bank account...
Im wondering what kind of good name they really have anyway, considering I have had friends that have lived in some of their apartments and only had problems...
Oh well, battering yourself into a hole isnt so bad as long as she can get something out of it..
On the contrary, I also drive through that area daily and encounter tons of traffic mainly due to Woodfield and the shitty way the traffic patterns are set up around it(eastbound ramp from 90 to 290 is constantly backed up because not a single moron can figure out how to mergeor get off at that next ramp). It is because of these problems that I barely get on 90 or 290 except when I am heading out to Wisconsin.
As far as the extra airport entrance goes, thats why the Elgin-O'Hare was built in the first place, as a route to go directly into O'Hare from the west...
Shaumberg also shortened the lights to catch more speeders, my ex mother in law runs a trucking company and was getting tickets because her trucks didn't have the time to stop
The people who are suing in this case are morons. They went out to Sam's Club, bought $50 worth of cards AFTER the public notification that the pricing on Itunes was going to change. After noticing the price change, they went back to Sam's Club and bought another gift card( I think the second one was $15 or $20). Keep in mind that they sued after the price increase with gift cards(here in Illinois, where the suit is taking place, you still are liable for the price increase and tax for anthing bought with a gift card).
I'm sorry, but that is no excuse for being inefficient. Actually, the fact these people are employed by this problem means they are a problem, more then likely raising costs that are artificially high as it is.

"The US civil court system seems to be seriously messed up given the circumstances in this case. This has a look of possible criminal bias."
That brings up a good point, considering the Highly outrageous amount that came out with for this case.
